Field Day Fun!

Jericho Settlers Farm

We had a great field trip at the farm today. The children learned a lot about how the farm grows and cares for vegetables throughout the year. Check out some of the pictures from our visit to Hazel's farm!

The Garden Project

Last Friday the first graders helped plant their vegetables in the garden by the Deborah Rawson Library. We hope you get a chance to check out this beautiful garden that your wonderful children helped create. They were so proud of the work they did that will help others in need. 

Authors!

The first graders have written many series books over the last few weeks and picked their favorite one to publish. This week they created the cover page and back page with a summary to give a sneak peek into their books. They also wrote a "Meet the Author" page. They are so excited to share their realistic fiction stories!

Patterns

First graders are busy finding patterns throughout the day. They are writing patterns in their realistic fiction books to add details. They are creating, naming and extending patterns during math time. They are also looking for patterns in nature during science time. Patterns are everywhere!

Fun on the Playground

We couldn't resist the wonderful weather today and went outside to enjoy our snack. The first graders had so much fun eating together while enjoying the sunshine! They even got to play with some preschool friends too.
