Winter Fun!

Mrs. Amanda Cowan took the class snowshoeing today! Aly's mom, Bridget, joined the class to help friends this week too. It was a perfect winter morning to be outside. The children enjoyed the fresh snow and exercise. Thank you Amanda and Bridget!

Reading Buddies

Some of the 4th graders came to read with the kindergarten friends today! They picked out books, found a cozy spot, and shared stories together. The kindergarten friends thoroughly enjoyed reading with the fourth graders. We will try to do reading buddies a few times a month for the rest of the year. 

Wednesday Morning Treat!

The kindergarten friends started their morning by singing with Buddy Dubay! They enjoyed singing some of their favorite songs and even learned some new ones. They love to sing and dance with Buddy. It is always a fun way to start the day!

Winter 

This week we discussed different activities we like to do in the winter. The children brainstormed activities like sledding, snowboarding, skiing, and building snowmen. They make snowy pictures using cray-pas and made snowflakes by folding and cutting paper. They also wrote about different things they like to do in the winter. 

Weather

Kindergarten friends are learning how the weather might change from day to day. They are observing and recording weather. Today they were surprised to see a snow squall and they learned about this kind of weather. It lasted for about 30 minutes and then it was sunny!
