Davis Farm Field Trip!

The first graders visited the Davis Farm today. They learned about different jobs on the farm, how to care for the animals, and how the farm makes money. They had a chance to feed and pet the calves, explore the milking parlor, make butter, and do a fun scavenger hunt. We greatly appreciate the Davis Family hosting this wonderful field trip!

The Garden Project

The first graders helped plant cucumbers in the garden by the Deborah Rawson Library on Wednesday. We hope you get a chance to check out this beautiful garden that your wonderful children helped create! They were so proud of the work they did that will help others in need.

 

 

Reading

We read to the kindergarten class this week. The first graders were so excited to read to a younger friend. They practiced reading fluently and asking questions to keep their friend engaged. 

Sun and Shadows

The first and third graders traced their shadows one morning. They checked on their shadows throughout the day and stood in the same position. They noticed their shadows looked different as the day went on and the sun was in a different place in the sky.
