Review Writers
First graders are learning how to write reviews of their favorite places, movies, games, and toys. They are learning how to be very convincing by adding details, giving recommendations, and sharing important information. They are doing a great job writing their opinions and giving lots of reasons.

Writing Collections
First graders had a great time sharing their collections this week. They decided which piece was the very best and gave it the first place award. They shared reasons why that item was the best. They tried to be really convincing by using lots of details and giving more than one reason. They are really enjoying the new Opinion Unit!

PJ and Get Cozy and Read Day!
What could be more fun than reading in forts, tents and beach chairs? Using flashlights and wearing pajamas! We had such a great time reading in the library today. The first graders loved how it was transformed into a fun cozy space!

Book Project
The first graders had a great time creating dioramas this week. They brainstormed their favorite parts of the My Father's Dragon series and created 3 dimensional scenes. Their third grade buddies helped them with this project. Thank you for sending in boxes so we could celebrate our reading together!
