We finished our mittens with Mrs. Aucter today. We added cotton balls and glitter designs. We will put them on our classroom door soon.

Spreading Kindness

We made cards for residents at the Respite House today. Our 3-4 buddies helped us write cards and include thoughtful messages. We shared how important it is to spread kindness.

Hour of Code

We learned about computer programming and coding today. The kindergarten friends worked with their 3-4 buddies to learn how to code using Kodable activities for pre readers. They had a great time figuring out directions to move characters in a game. You can learn more at https://code.org/learn.

We Love UCS!

The kindergarten friends were very excited to get their shirts they made in art with Mrs. Aucter. They wore them for the UCS Sing Along and Craft Fair today. Thank you Mrs. Aucter for planning this fun community building activity!

Kindergarten friends started making mittens to put on our classroom door. They traced their "bubble hand" and then decorated it in fun ways. Many children made designs and patterns on their mittens. We will add a few more fun things to our mittens in the next few weeks. Thanks for helping us Mrs. Aucter!

Fun with Shapes

Kindergarten students are busy exploring, describing and creating shapes during math workshop. They are noticing the number of sides and corners with different shapes. They enjoyed making shapes out of playdough and creating shape pictures.
