Four Winds
The first graders learned about Owls during this month's Four Winds lesson. They learned how the eyes, ears, feathers, feet and digestive system help these nighttime hunters. They listened to owl calls and investigated owl pellets to gather clues about their diet. Thank you Fred and Terry for leading this month's lesson!

Poetry
We started another writing unit this week. First graders are learning how to see the world through "poets' eyes". They are working on using their senses to describe objects.

Four Winds
The first graders learned about birds today. They learned about different types of feathers and how they help birds. The children also closely examined individual feathers to see and learn about the different parts.  Thank you Lauren and Eric for leading this month's lesson!
