Sound Project
Due Monday, June 9th
To go along with our sound unit, you will be making your own
instrument.
- Please collect recycled or used
materials to make an instrument.
- Materials
may include plastic jugs, cardboard boxes, shoe boxes, paper towel rolls,
rubber bands, wood, beans, etc.
- Homemade instruments may resemble
guitars, drums, tambourines, maracas, chimes, etc
- You will be asked to show how your
instrument produces sound and how you can change the sound (volume and/or
pitch).
- We
will discuss different ways to create instruments at school this week. You
can also use the links below for ideas for instruments. You can also find these links on our
classroom blog.
Be creative and have fun.
Students will share instruments with the class and demonstrate how to change the sound of their
instruments.
Feel free to contact me if you have any
questions. J
